| The Carrier SYSTXCCNIM01, also known as the Infinity Network Interface Module (NIM), is a device used in specific HVAC systems to enable communication and control of certain equipment. In order to link non-communicating devices to the ABCD bus of the Carrier Infinity system, it serves as a translator. For appropriate Carrier equipment, this bus serves as a central communication network. Two common uses for the NIM are as follows: first, when zoning—which regulates temperature in distinct areas—is not used, the NIM is utilized to incorporate an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) or Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV) into the system. Additionally, it can be utilized with specialized non-communicating HVAC systems, like non-communicating two-speed outdoor units or single-speed heat pumps in dual-fuel applications that combine a furnace and heat pump. |
