| In the continuously evolving contemporary world,
where industries and various other sectors expand at a mind-boggling speed, the
pre-requisites too keep on changing accordingly, and the usual skill sets that
were expectedly needed for a job are not considered enough nowadays. This is
the reason employees and professionals need to maintain and update their
skillsets and keep up with the fast pace of the industry that they’re in.
Although for some it is the worry about retaining their jobs, for others it is
whether there will be enough jobs in the future in case they wish to change
jobs. Nevertheless, this fear factor is caused by two
main concepts that are today’s inclination. One is the concept of automation,
and the other is the implementation of artificial intelligence. Although this
advancement has brought with it a set of advantages that are undoubtedly
amazing, on the flip side, it also has a set of negatives, especially for
workers who carry out routine tasks, which passively affect other high-level professionals
in industries. So the conclusion to this kind of problem can ultimately be said
to be the constant updating of oneself to keep up with the ever-changing
demands. The only solution to this is possibly the concept of lifelong learning, which keep one
always on the better edge since the knowledge updating will be continuous and
consistent. Since lifelong learning courses is
considered the new successful concept, the benefits that it carries are also
quite valuable. In a very simple sense, the objective is quite simple and
straight: in a constantly evolving world, you are bound to be left behind if
you do not keep up on par with your competitors. Learning new proficiencies
just depends on how we ingest the knowledge and enhance our professional and personal
skillsets; it certainly plays a major role in taking one’s career graph to a
much higher level. In this process of enhancement, there are institutions that
guide and help in achieving this target. Lifelong Learning Academy
is one such organisation that deals with such cases where people who are
interested in keeping up with the fast-paced competitive world are properly
guided and trained to go ahead with a specific form of training and learning
methods that help them and enable them to enhance their current level of
knowledge to much higher and better levels. The Lifelong Learning Academy Group (“LLA”) is a Singapore
based group of companies dedicated to providing lifelong learning opportunities
for organisations and adults, both locally and internationally. Our consultancy
and training programmes aim to impart knowledge and skills to enable
organisations and adults to be fully equipped and future ready. The Lifelong Learning Academy Group represents the coming
together of three long time friends with diverse backgrounds but who shared a
common interest and ambition, that is, to establish an institution to provide
high quality training and consultancy to help adults learn skills that will
enhance their employability and organisations to do things better and more
effectively. The longest established company in the LLA group is Training
Masters Workforce Institute Pte Ltd (“TM”) which was set up in 1991 by Mr Eric
Emmanuel Tan (“Eric”). The core business of TM, which is an Approved Training
Organisation accredited by Skills Future Singapore, is in providing training
and consultancy to companies in the Environmental Services (“EVS”) industry in
Singapore. Today, TM is able to offer a wide range of training programmes and
