| Registration of fcra enables ngos as well as trusts in India to obtain foreign funds as legally as they are. It will be done through the application online through the portal of MHA, presenting such documents as audited accounts and activity reports and fulfilling the eligibility requirements. Registration is approved to last five years after which it has to be renewed. To keep in check compliance, transparency and proper utilization of the foreign contributions, organizations are required to open an fcra bank account and submit an annual return.
