As a Roofing Material – Gradually people started using glass for skylights and roofs. The colder places took it as a possibility for greater sunlight and heat inside the buildings. And, the hot locations used solar control glasses for optimizing sunlight and heat radiations.

As a Partition, within the interiors of a Building – Glass is widely used in the interiors of the homes. Usually used as partition walls, curtain walls among rooms, with doorways and windows, as an element of décor, etc.

Weather Resistance – It is weather resistant because it can resist and bear the reaction of rain, sun, and wind. It has good capacity in case of absorption, reflection and refracting light. Hence it enables us to regulate and influence natural light. This helps in positively influencing our daily activities leading to better health.

Insulation – It is a superb insulator against heat, electricity and electromagnetic wave because of its good insulating response against light transmission.

Chemical Resistance – It can withstand the effect of the reaction under different environmental conditions or acidic effects.

Color and Shape Varieties – It can be given any shape and any color, and variety and is out there in the market depending upon customer’s use, dimensional requirements, and safety requirement.

Transparency – Transparency is one such property of glass that creates a visible connection with the surface world. With the arrival of technology, clear glass also can be altered, making it opaque.
