1.     Connect Roku player directly to the TV instead of using another device like A/V Receiver:-
 
If you already have connected like this and still face problems then check out the following points.
 
·         First of all, check out the volume level and mute setting from your television.
·         Make sure, the mute is OFF and the volume level is at the perfect audible level.
·         Moreover, if you are using the composite cable then check that you have connected both ends properly. Because composite audio cables have its red or white connectors.
·         Now, connect the TV to other input cables, if you see that you can now hear the sound. Then it means that there is a problem in the previous input cables.
·         Try to change the cables.
 
2.     Roku player connected to AVR: -  
 
If you are using AVR and still facing the No sound issue then check out some main things.
 
·         Make sure you have connected to the correct input to the AVR.
·         Next, check the level of the volume and mute settings on your television. With this, also check the master volume level on the AVR.
·         If you are using the composite cables then trying to check that it’s both terminals is connected properly or not.
·         If still, the problem remains the same then tries to connect the A/V receiver to another input.
 
3.   Connect Roku Player to the S/PDIF (Optical) to the A/V receiver:- If you have tried all the methods including S/PDIF (optical) methods and still unable to resolve this issue then for this, notice some points very carefully.
 
·          Try to change the audio mode to Dolby digital.
·          Next, press the “home button” on your remote control.
·         You will see the option of settings. Scroll down the settings.
·         Now, go to the audio and set the HDMI and S/PDIF to Dolby D.
 
Moreover, you can also experience this issue when you trying to play 5.1 surround sound. This may happen due to the reason that your TV or A/V R is not cable of supporting 5.1 surround sounds. Then for this, do some simple steps.
 
·         First of all, Press home from your remote and scroll down the setting and go to the audio option.
·         Now, set the audio mode to the stereo.
·          In addition to it also set the HDMI to PCM-stereo.
·         If still, you face the same issue then disconnect and reconnect all cables.
