Description

he most played poker game in the world!

Texas Hold'em has now replaced our good old closed poker, and has become the most played online poker and land-based casinos. These rules are used among others in the biggest poker tournaments. Its principle is quite similar to closed poker, the combinations are always the same, but the flow of the game is a little different.

As at the moment no online casino to my knowledge offers Texas Hold'em in French, we will use the English terms so that you can more easily understand when playing.

Principle:

The player receives two cards not visible to others and 5 cards are placed on the visible carpet and usable by everyone. Using these 7 cards, the goal is to make the best possible combination with 5 cards whether on the mat or in your deck.

Start of the game

The first important thing is to identify who deals with the cards (the dealer), usually this is highlighted with a small circle. The two players to the left of the dealer then place their bet called "small blind" and "big blind" before any card is dealt ("blind" means blind in English, we therefore call this bet "blind" because the player must to bet before having seen the slightest card, it is therefore a "blind" bet).

In "Limit Hold'em" the "small blind" must be equivalent to half of the minimum bet and the big blind is equal to the amount of the minimum bet (

The word is then to the player located after the "big blind" (third player to the left of the dealer), he can either fold ("fold") the game is then over for him and he lost what he had until then bet, either call ("call"), he then places the sum placed by the "big blind", or raise ("raise"), he then places a sum greater than the "big blind" that the other players must follow to continue .

Once the betting round is over, 3 cards are turned together in the middle of the mat, visible to all. This is called the "flop". A second round of bidding then begins with the player to the left of the dealer. If when it is your turn no one has bet during this second round, you can then just call without betting by clicking on "check", if someone has already bet you must either call "call" or raise "raise", in any case you can also abandon "fold".

When the second betting round is over, an additional card in the center is turned over, this is called the "turn" or "the turn" and then a new betting round begins.

Then the fifth and last card is returned to the center of the mat, the last betting round can then be held. Once this is over, the player who has been followed by everyone else must show their game, if someone has a better game they must show it to win the game. Losers do not need to show their game.

When finished, the player who has been called by everyone else shows his game. If he is the best, he wins the pot. Otherwise, whoever has a better game shows it and collects the pot. The others don't have to show anything.

Bets

Limit Hold'em: This is the variant most played there, a limited amount for each bet is defined at the start of the game. For example a game of Limit Hold'em 10-20 means that the bet is € 10 before the flop (1st betting round) and at the flop until the end (2,3 and 4th betting round) of 20 €.

Pot Limit Hold'em: you can raise an amount up to the limit of that making up the pot.

No Limit Hold'em: No limit on wagers.
