Nigerian fast-rising singer and songwriter, Ahmed Ololade Asake professionally known as Asake or Mr Money has released his debut album.

The YBNL signee took to his social media account on the 8th of September where he disclosed the release of his new album called “Mr Money with the Vibe”.

Asake released a 12track, featuring two artistes, an American artiste, Russ; and popular afro-fusion artiste, Burna Boy, from their earlier released track “Sungba”

Asaka album music has been setting records in the music industry after his single, Mr Money, went viral — a song which was later remixed by Nigerian rapper, Olamide.

The singer was later signed under the YBNL label, owned by Olamide on February 2022 and got signed by Empire Distribution in July 2023.

On the 2nd of February, Asake released his debut EP called “Ololade Asake”, an EP which topped the music chart, ahead of several music stars like Burna Boy, Davido and Wizkid. Among other songs, he had dropped singles featuring his colleague in the YBNL record label, Fireboy DML, a track called “Bandana”, “Palazzo” with DJ Spinall, “Terminator” and “PBUY”, all songs which have been massive hits.

In August, Asake disclosed pictures of his newly attained mansion on his verified Instagram account, with the caption, “Went from hustling for free bed space to investing in real estate.”

Hiatus Era (2015 - early 2017)

After signing to South African songs, Davido focused on creating and EP which was not well received after it was released. After returning to Nigeria in late 2016,  Tekno came to the rescue by writing and producing Davido's monster hit song 'If', which was released on February 17, 2017.

The monster hit, 'IF' would go on to win best single and song of the year at the Headies in 2018

International Label signing Era

In 2016, The 5-track Ep 'Son of Mercy' gave us music such as Gbagbe Oshi, Coolest Kid in Africa amongst others. The Ep was as a result of his record label deal with Sony's RCA Records. In April 2017, Davido re-negotiated his contract with Sony due to creative control issues.

DMW Era

Few months after signing with Sony Records, Davido became a label boss with the establishment of his record label Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) in 2016 to which Mayorkun, Dremo, Perruzi, and others are signed. The label gave us a couple of bangers such as; Aje, Mafa Mafa, and others.

Seasoned Beef Era

Recently, Davido's loud statement to his haters gave us 'Fem'. The banger became the nationwide EndSARS national anthem. A part of the song lyrics said "Tell Odogwu say we like to party", speculators have it that he took a shot at the Africa Giant, Burna Boy.
