The idol of Lord Ganesha was adorned in an extraordinary attire made entirely of currency notes worth ₹1.51 crore. Thousands of visitors came to the pandal to seek blessings and admire the unique display.
A Growing Tradition
The mandal has been celebrating the Ganesh festival for 24 years, and for the past eight years, they have decorated the idol with currency notes. What started as an offering of ₹5.55 lakh gradually increased over the years, reaching ₹7.77 lakh, ₹11.11 lakh, and this year, a staggering ₹1.51 crore. |
